Alert: Finland Travel Advisory
5 MINUTE READ
August 7, 2020

On August 6, 2020, in close coordination with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of State lifted the Global Level 4 Health Advisory.  The Global Advisory, initially put in place on March 19, 2020, advised U.S. citizens to avoid all international travel due to the global impact of COVID-19.  The Global Level 4 Health Advisory has been replaced with the following country-specific Travel Advisory for Finland: Reconsider travel to Finland due to COVID-19.

Read the Department of State’s COVID-19 page before you plan any international travel. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 3 Travel Health Notice for Finland due to COVID-19. Finland has resumed most transportation options, (including airport operations and re-opening of borders) and business operations (including day cares and schools). Other improved conditions have been reported within Finland. Visit the Embassy’s COVID-19 page for more information on COVID-19 in Finland.
