Demonstration Alert – U.S. Embassy (Helsinki, Finland) (January 28, 2023)
Location: Kaivopuisto, Siltatie, U.S. Embassy Area
Event: A planned protested is scheduled on January 28, 2023 outside the US Embassy from 1600 to 1700. The protesters plan to voice their displeasure regarding Finland’s desire to be a NATO member. Local law enforcement will have an increased presence in the area during the protest.
While the protest is expected to be peaceful, U.S. government personnel are advised to avoid the area out of an abundance of caution.
U.S. citizens are also advised to avoid the area immediately surrounding the U.S. Embassy in Kaivopuisto during the time of this protest.
