Demonstration Alert – U.S. Embassy Helsinki, Finland (February 7, 2020)

Event: The Embassy is aware of a demonstration planned for 3:00 p.m. this afternoon in front of the Embassy of the United States at Itäinen Puistotie 14 B, 00140 Helsinki, Finland. The U.S. Embassy has advised its personnel to avoid the demonstration area and exercise caution if near a large public gathering or protest.
Embassy Closure: The Embassy of the United States will close for all services at 2:30 p.m. on February 7, 2020, with expected re-opening for normal operations on February 10, 2020. February 8 and 9 are a weekend, and the Embassy is scheduled to be closed as usual. U.S. citizens requiring emergency consular assistance should contact +(358) (9) 616-250 or HelsinkiACS@state.gov.
