Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellows Summer Institute
Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellows Summer Institute is a program for upper secondary school students. The institute is hosted by an American university with approximately 45 students: up to 35 European students and 10 Americans. Timeline: Deadline for applications usually in February.
Study of the U.S. Institutes Programs
The Study of the U.S. Institutes programs are administered by the Fulbright Finland Foundation.
The Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Secondary School Educators are designed to strengthen curricula and improve the quality of teaching about the United States in secondary schools and other academic institutions. The Institutes will take place over the course of five weeks during the summer months.
The Study of the United States Institutes for Scholars and Professionals are intensive, post-graduate level academic programs with integrated study tours whose purpose is to provide university faculty, scholars, and other related professionals the opportunity to deepen their understanding of American society, culture, values, and institutions. The goal of these programs is to strengthen curricula and to improve the quality of teaching about the United States in academic institutions.
Transatlantic Classroom
The U.S. Embassy in Finland and the Finnish National Agency for Education continue their longstanding collaboration to strengthen and increase student, teacher, and administrator mobility between Finland and the United States through a new program called the Transatlantic Classroom.
The Transatlantic Classroom program between upper secondary schools in Finland and the United States supports small-scale projects, including virtual cooperation and/or short exchanges, to increase the internationalization efforts of participating schools as well as develop critical competencies, such as English language skills.
The application must be sent by the municipality representing the upper secondary school(s).

YTILI
The Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative (YTILI) Fellows Program is the U.S. Department of State’s flagship program for emerging entrepreneurs. The program brings together 60 entrepreneurs from across Europe for a five-month virtual entrepreneurship curriculum and a five-week program in the United States in March and April. During the program, they will seek to grow their ventures, find new business opportunities, and strengthen transatlantic business networks.
